Team Purple got up to some office spring cleaning this morning and decided it was the perfect opportunity to pass along some cleaning tips of our own to keep your vinyl deck looking beautiful all year long! Our vinyl membranes are designed to be as low-maintenance as possible, but the occasional bit of TLC will keep them looking spectacular for years for come.  Soap & Water
A little bit of warm water and mild soap is the simplest way to keep your vinyl deck looking great. Mild detergents like household dish soap or OxiClean Light are our recommended cleaners. Before you start, sweep or brush off your deck to loosen dirt and grime and clear away excess debris. Wet your deck down with your cleaning solution and give it a light scrub with a bristle broom or brush. Rinse well with your garden hose to full remove all detergent and let it dry! Pressure Washing While Dec-Tec and Deckrite membranes do not require intensive cleaning and maintenance, a pressure washer can be used for the occasional deep clean of your vinyl deck. When using a pressure washer use a mild detergent and set the washer to its lowest setting, using caution around seams, caulking, trim and rail attachments. Never use solvents on your vinyl decking.
